Chicago, IL
Faith / Community

Originally built in 1916, this magnificent structure is undergoing a complete renovation to enhance & preserve the building for another 100+ years of service to the Woodlawn and surrounding communities. The church building renovations include the complete replacement of MEP systems, new life safety systems, elevator installation and accessibility upgrades, restoration of decorative plaster and art glass in the dome, window replacement, new seating / baptistry / stage and AV in the auditorium, refinishing the foyer, lower commons improvements with a new commercial kitchen and introduction of new classrooms / admin office space. As is the case with many historic building restorations – this has been a labor of love.
